Community Leadership Luncheon: Social Sustainability

In celebration of Black History Month, join us for an afternoon of community building, conversation, and learning centered around catalyzing sustainable social change, particularly for those communities most impacted by social and climate injustice. This conversation will utilize an intersectional approach to social entrepreneurship and climate change solutions.

This event is free and open to the public, with lunch provided to all attendees.

About the speaker

Jasmine Amoako-Agyei, Founder & Creative Director Countdown: Circular Economy Solutions (CES)

Jasmine Amoako-Agyei is a social entrepreneur, Tillman Scholar, children’s book co-author, environmentalist, and alumni of Arizona State University and Barrett, the Honors College.

Jasmine has a background in marketing, sustainability, and technological entrepreneurship and management. She is passionate about the intersection between human rights, the environment, and sustainable development, specifically focusing on marginalized communities disproportionately affected by Climate Change. Her work as a UNAI Millennium Fellow led to her founding her startup, Countdown: Circular Economy Solutions. Countdown CES is an early-stage global technology startup taking a community-centered approach to tackling plastic pollution both in Ghana, West Africa, and at ASU.

Jasmine leads the creative direction and project management of the Countdown CES student teams with the Herberger Young Scholars Academy, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the Luminosity Lab, Ashesi University, and Engineering Projects In Community Service (EPICS) at ASU.
