June’s leadership luncheon will be hosted in recognition of Pride Month. The speaker will be Reyna Guerra, founder of Queerizona.
Reyna Guerra is a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, an educator, a parent, and a dedicated community organizer. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Arizona State University and Masters in Special Education from California State University-East Bay.
After completing her education, Guerra returned to Arizona with a clear vision of creating a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community in her home state. Recognizing the need for community and connection beyond the club and bar scene, Guerra founded Queerizona, an organization that helps facilitate a wide range of events and activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the community.
“My belief in equality and inclusivity continue to force me to take action and make a positive impact on the lives of others, foster a sense of belonging and pride within the LGBTQ+ community,” says Guerra.
Guerra hopes her work with Queerizona not only helps strengthen the LGBTQ+ community in Arizona, but also inspire others to take action and create meaningful change.
This event is free and open to the public with lunch provided for all attendees. Registration is requested to attend.
