Are you a domestic violence Victim Advocate or survivor support provider looking to connect with other professionals in the community?
Fresh Start is proud to pilot a committee of community partners and Victim Advocates who support survivors of domestic violence.
Together, this committee will help create a space to engage and collaborate with fellow Victim Advocates, to better understand services that are currently available, identify opportunities to bridge gaps in the community, and discuss how to work more effectively.
This committee will also highlight Fresh Start services that are available to best support clients, offer referrals, and provide insight on domestic violence resources throughout Maricopa County.
We are eager to connect with domestic violence Victim Advocates in any of these or similar positions:
- In-House Advocates
- Mobile Advocates
- Court Advocates
- Human Trafficking Advocates
- Lay Legal Advocates
- Child Advocates (with a focus on DV)
Additionally, professionals working to provide support in any of these areas are also welcome to attend:
- Order Protection (OOP): Including assistance completing OOP, contest hearing preparations, or court accompaniment
- Address confidentiality program
- Reporting
- On-going safety planning: Including creating an exit plan, providing support when actively leaving or fleeing violence at home, high immediate needs, crisis stabilization, court advocacy, or legal advocacy
- Case management: Including therapeutic referrals, referrals to support groups, healing services and workshops, or if client is seeking daily or weekly support
- DV-specific needs: Including relocation, shelters/transitional housing, and more
We invite you to join us for this first meeting, hosted by Fresh Start!
Lunch provided to all registered providers, so RSVP today!
