Buseman’s leadership strengthens Fresh Start’s continued impact across Arizona communities
PHOENIX, AZ (September 8, 2026) – Fresh Start Women’s Foundation named Rhonda Buseman Chair of its Executive Board of Directors. In this role, she will help guide the organization’s strategic direction and champion its mission of helping women achieve self-sufficiency.
Buseman brings more than 25 years of executive human resources leadership and experience guiding global organizations through growth and transformation. She currently serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at Benchmark Electronics, where she leads global workforce strategies that align talent, culture, and performance with organizational goals.
A 2024 inductee into Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business Alumni Hall of Fame, Buseman has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing women through her work with Fresh Start and 50/50 Women on Boards. As chair, she will bring her leadership experience and dedication to creating pathways for women through opportunity and empowerment.
Fresh Start’s mission is to provide access and resources that help women achieve self-sufficiency and use their strength to thrive. Our ultimate vision is to create unlimited opportunities for women. For over three decades, Fresh Start has supported more than 65,000 Arizona women, serving approximately 5,000 women each year who are 18 years and older. 60% are single mothers, 67% make an annual income less than $25k, and 72% are domestic violence survivors. These women face a variety of barriers hindering their ability to be personally or financially self-sufficient, including generational poverty and unemployment.
