Arizona Tax Credit Donations

Give a woman a fresh start with your tax credit donation.

As a Qualifying Charitable Organization, Fresh Start is eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Program. By making a donation to Fresh Start through this program, you can receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona taxes.

How does the AZ charitable tax credit work?

By April 15, 2026, donate any amount of up to $495 (single) and up to $987 (joint/married) and REDUCE your state tax liability for each dollar donated. State tax credits are taken when you file your Arizona personal tax return, which can result in either less taxes owed or a larger refund. No itemizing necessary!

After you make your donation, remember to keep your donation receipt (provided by Fresh Start), fill out AZ Form 321 and include it with your state tax filing. Our QCO Code is 20525. You can provide even more hope, encouragement, and transformative programs to Arizona women.

Step-by-step guide for making for making your tax-credit donation

Here is your step-by-step guide to making a tax-credited donation for the 2025 and 2026 tax years.

Step 1: Determine your maximum credit

The amount you can claim as a credit depends on your filing status. For the current tax cycles, the limits are:

Filing Status2025 Tax Year Max2026 Tax Year Max
Single / Head of Household$495$506
Married Filing Jointly$987$1,009

*You do not need to itemize your deductions to claim this credit. It is available to all Arizona taxpayers who have a state tax liability.

Step 2: Make your donation

To qualify for the tax credit, your gift must be a cash contribution (this includes check, credit card, or electronic payment).

  1. Online: Follow the links on this page to make your donation.
  2. By Mail: Send a check to:
    • Fresh Start Women’s Foundation
      1130 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006
  3. Deadline: To claim the credit on your 2025 return, you must donate by April 15, 2026.

Step 3: Save your receipt

After donating, Fresh Start will provide you with a receipt. Keep this document with your tax records. It confirms your contribution and will be necessary if you are ever asked to verify your credit by the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR).

Step 4: File your taxes using Form 321

When you file your Arizona state tax return, you must include Arizona Form 321 to claim the credit. You will need the following specific information for Fresh Start:

  • Organization Name: Fresh Start Women’s Foundation
  • QCO Code: 20525

If your total credit exceeds the tax you owe for the year, you can “carry forward” the unused portion of the credit for up to five consecutive tax years.

Important tips

  • Double Your Impact: You can claim this credit in addition to other Arizona tax credits, such as the Private School Tuition Credit or the Foster Care Tax Credit.
  • Employer Matching: Check if your employer has a matching gift program. While the matched portion won’t count toward your personal tax credit, it doubles the resources available to the women Fresh Start serves.

*Please consult your tax advisor for details on tax deductibility.
