As a Qualifying Charitable Organization, Fresh Start is eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Program. By making a donation to Fresh Start through this program, you can receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona taxes.
By April 15, 2025, donate any amount of up to $470 (single) and up to $938 (joint/married) and REDUCE your state tax liability for each dollar donated. State tax credits are taken when you file your Arizona personal tax return, which can result in either less taxes owed or a larger refund, no itemizing necessary!
After you make your donation, remember to keep your donation receipt (provided by Fresh Start), fill out AZ Form 321 and include it with your state tax filing. Our QCO Code is 20525. You can provide even more hope, encouragement, and transformative programs to Arizona women.
*Please consult your tax advisor for details on tax deductibility.

A: A tax credit is significantly more beneficial than a tax deduction. A tax credit reduces your taxes, dollar-for-dollar. A tax deduction reduces the taxable income upon which your tax liability is calculated.
A: No, you do not have to donate the whole amount at once. Donations given throughout the year that add up to the $470 and $938 limits qualify for the tax credit. We can even set up a monthly gift option for you to spread the gifts out over the year.
