About the event:
Law Day for Women offers one-on-one meetings with volunteer attorneys who will answer legal questions in the following areas of law*: bankruptcy, disability, family, employment, immigration, landlord/tenant, tax, and wills and trusts.

Día De Ley Para Mujeres ofrece reuniones individuales con abogados voluntarios que responderán preguntas legales en las siguientes áreas de ley*: bancarrota, familia, empleo, inmigración, propietario / inquilino, impuestos, testamentos y fideicomisos.
*Tenga en cuenta que no todos los abogados voluntarios hablan español. Si necesita un intérprete, traiga a alguien para que lo interprete (el intérprete debe ser mayor de edad).

What to expect day-of:
– Check-in begins at 9:00am and ends at 10:00am Get in line early: first come, first served. / El registro de entrada comienza a las 9am y finaliza a las 10am. Haga fila temprano: ¡por orden de llegada!
– Questions about your financial future and divorce? We will have a financial expert at the event! / ¿Tiene preguntas sobre su futuro financiero y el divorcio? Tendremos expertos en finanzas.
– Meetings with volunteer attorneys and financial experts are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check the area of law you would like help with so we can ensure that we have plenty of volunteer attorneys available to answer your questions. / Las reuniones con abogados voluntarios y expertos financieros se programan por orden de llegada. Preinscríbase en el área de derecho con la que desea ayuda, de modo que podamos asegurarnos de que tengamos suficiente abogados voluntarios disponibles para responder sus preguntas.
– Like most first-come, first-served events, we cannot project how long it will take for you to be seen, so please plan accordingly. We encourage you to bring a snack, a book or your favorite magazine to keep you occupied while you wait! / Como la mayoría de los eventos por orden de llegada, no podemos predecir cuánto tiempo tomará ser atendido, así que planifique con tiempo o anticipation.
