Our March Leadership Luncheon will explore the intersection of education, opportunity, and creating environments for women to succeed, featuring speaker Veronica Aguilar.

About the speaker:

Veronica Aguilar’s personal commitment to Teach for America’s (TFA) mission—ensuring all children receive an excellent education—began 10 years ago as a corps member, teaching 4th grade. Aguilar has since served as a recruiter, alumni board member, and now, as Vice President of the national recruitment team.

Aguilar is also the Founder and board chair of Young & Empowered Women, a non-profit organization that supports rising female leaders receive professional development, mentorship, and service opportunities. Since the group officially formed in 2020, Y&E has grown its membership base to 130 women, with 60% being first generation and 67% being women of color.

Aguilar was named a Phoenix Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” honoree in 2023, the 2022 ATHENA Young Professional Recipient for the Greater Phoenix Chamber, and serves on various community boards. She is a Valley Young Professionals Board Member at the Greater Phoenix Chamber, a member of the Young Professionals Council at Big Brothers, Big Sisters- Central AZ, and past chair of the Teach for America Arizona Alumni Board.

Aguilar earned a bachelor’s degree in business and received her MBA from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
