Brains Club: Executive Function, Pt. II

Fri, May 2, 2025

9:30 am — 10:30 am (AZ Time)

Join us for this Brains Club session as we dive into the world of executive function! Executive function is defined as the set of skills that drive effective thinking and actions in our lives. We’ll explore key components like goal setting, planning, and problem-solving.

Executive function refers to higher-level thinking skills that allow us to perform complex tasks and think on a more abstract level. They encompass what we generally refer to as “thinking.” Executive functions include setting goals; planning, organization, and sequencing; mental flexibility; initiation and follow-through (starting and finishing at task); time management; and problem-solving and reasoning. In this module we discuss each part of executive functions.

Through interactive group activities, you will gain practical strategies that can deepen your understanding of the human brain, and discover techniques that can make a lasting difference in your life, and the lives of those around you.

All women in the community are welcome to attend, hope to see you there!
